Chapter Criteria:
All chapters are independent not-for-profit business entities incorporated in their home state. They will follow a set of common by-laws utilized by the national organization.
Accounting and legal responsibilities are managed by the individual chapters with a model developed by the national office in Miami or New York.
Each chapter will have its own board of directors. Membership and event committees must be formed and staffed to operate the administration for local activities.

The board needs to consist of a percentage of active sommeliers and the remaining board can be consist of hospitality, consumers or wine industry personel.
Each chapter is required to have at least one paid employee that will administer local financial activities to the national administrator. |
